Stanley School is a day school for pupils with Complex Learning Difficulties.
This means it takes pupils who have Severe Learning Difficulties and sometimes other disabilities such as Autism.
The school has ninety places available and takes children of 2-11.

Before 1971 pupils like ours were thought to be 'ineducable'. They were not part of the education system and were looked after by the Health Authority.
Anyone visiting our school today will be amazed at this notion, seeing as they will, classes of children working as in any mainstream school. Education Acts throughout the last twenty five years now ensure our pupils receive a first class education by any standards.
The school believes strongly that the special school sector has an important and vital role in the education of pupils with disabilities. This is explained in the school Mission Statement and the Download the School Aims.
